Mission

To create a climate conducive to tourism investment through the provision of appropriate tourism education, training, and awareness and capacity-building programs in communities to actively participate in tourism development.

Vision

Develop tourism as a sustainable industry in supporting or enhancing marginal industries and quality of life of all communities in the municipal area

Our Strategic Direction and Performance

The overreaching intent is to develop the Dawid Kruiper Municipal Area as an authentic tourist destination in its own right. It is supported by the following objectives:

• Optimize opportunities for the smme`s ,specifically emerging entrepreneurs.
• Use tourism to aid the development of rural communities.
• Encourage community participation in the planning and development, management and implementation, and sustainable usage of tourism resources.
• Facilitate the optimal accessibility and sustainable use of the Orange River and its resources.
• Implement the integrated environmental management principle for all tourism major economic development projects.
